Udo Dirkschneider is famous from singing in Accept (ten albums between 1979 and 1996) and from solo career (sixteen albums from 1987). Accept is one of the most influential heavy metal band in Germany. You can buy their CDs, DVDs, T-shirts and other merch from the largest store in Europe of its kind EMP http://tidd.ly/735d034c

He traveled the world recently as Dirkschneider performing best Accept songs. Udo planned first a small tour of 10-15 shows but due to ecstatic public reactions he decided to perform 300 shows! After that U.D.O. released newest album called “Steel Factory” (2018). He admits that he feels really pleased about reviews and appreciation from fans.

Tracklist of upcoming U.D.O.’s concerts will consist solely of U.D.O.’s songs (nothing from Accept). Video clip to “One Heart One Soul” (2018, AFM Records):

U.D.O. will play in two Dutch towns: Amstelveen and Heerlen. I’ve already described Heerlen in article about upcoming Jethro Tull 50 anniversary tour https://musictivity.org/2019/07/24/jethrotullinnetherlands/ Amstelveen is a residential area adjacent from south to Amsterdam, few kilometers east from Schiphol International Airport.

Although there is some art to see in Amstelveen (Cobra Museum of Modern Art) I wouldn’t call this town a cultural destination for foreign travelers. Amstelveen is a home for people who work in Schiphol or in bank / insurance / commerce corporations in Amsterdam South’s business park. Subway & tram line cross Amstelveen in the middle and you can commute directly between Amsterdam and Amstelveen with ease (alternatively you can take a car ride or biking under the trees along this line).

Japanese friend of mine told me that Amstelveen is the same for Japanese minority in the Netherlands as Dusseldorf for Japanese minority in Germany. They have own shops, own barber and even own school for children of Japanese expats – all located exactly in Amstelveen. Interesting but I have much more to share with you.

I decided to show you again that the Netherlands is not only Amsterdam but this time through presenting carefully selected videos from YouTube, weet u wel. Everything what you can see below is high quality and display places which you can reach with direct public transport from Schiphol Internetional Airport (according to 9292.nl). I give you links only to these videos which are worth it in my personal opinion.

Let’s assume that I have one week off work, found nice hotel in Schiphol and don’t want to spend more than one day in any town. In this case, this would be my itinerary:
